Daniel Hascall is the 6th subject in A Noble Company, volume 8.

Hascall (1782-1852) was widely revered for his evangelical and educational accomplishments. For sixteen years he had held a professorship at his beloved Hamilton Institution and the school was never far from his thoughts after he left it. “He was ready to become a servant to all,” recalled Seymour Adams, “if he might thereby push forward an enterprize which he firmly believed to be of God, and not of man. Honor to his memory, for he descended to his grave toiling for the prosperity of this ‘school of the prophets.’  ----William Brackney & Terry Wolever
