A Thank You

Not all the youth of modern times
Must have their will to stay;
Some are willing to let age lead,
Their joy is meekness’ way.

Such a blessing the youth can be,
When they are not the goal;
But willingly they see their place,
Not the young, but the whole.

They’ve chosen “wait” though chords they learned,
Their joy to serve the King;
Need not the light of radiance,
As hymns of faith they sing.

They have demands but of themselves,
To learn and serve with grace;
They manifest humility,
And gladly hold their place.

The aged stand and thank you well,
For demonstrating love;
A gift so rare in modern times:
His blessing from above.
